Roy | Paletta Mansion pet photography
Have you ever received a really great “gift with purchase?” Kathy and Dave received the most special one ever — their adopted dog Roy.
When the couple sold their small farm six years ago to purchase a larger one with room for their horses, they received a surprise signing bonus: the seller’s chocolate lab.
The former owner was moving into town and was having trouble finding a new home for Roy, who was four at the time. Although Kathy and Dave already had two dogs, they always admired labs, so he became part of the purchase and their family. The farm turned out to be a money pit. As Kathy says, “In the ‘Challenging Farm with Bonus Dog’ adventure, Roy turned out to be the best part!”
Roy is now 10 and living a more suburban life in Welland, although he will always be a farm dog at heart. He’s a good ole boy and a typical lab — goofy, easygoing, loves water and will do pretty much anything for a good stick.
His Paletta Manion pet photography session may have been a little high-brow for this guy — this historic site in Burlington, Ont., features a grand old mansion and manicured grounds — but it allowed for one of Roy’s favourite activities: swimming!
How can you not love a lab face?
Throw the stick, throw stick, THROW THE STICK!
Roy went home wet and tired … sure signs that he had a good time! Thanks for making the trek in your pickup truck to see me!
