Booking a photography session for your pet shouldn’t be stressful. That’s why I keep things super simple with one offering that’s packed with lots of value. Your session will be casual, comfortable and customized to your pet’s personality. Every photo session includes:

CELEBRATION SESSIONS

The golden years of your pet’s life should be treasured and celebrated. These special sessions are for elderly or terminally-ill companions where time is of the essence. Celebration Sessions are priority-scheduled and customized to the special needs of your pet. I’ll come to your home if necessary, and I’ll spend as much time as needed to capture your companion in all their well-loved glory.

Calm and relaxed approach

With over 10 years of experience, lots of patience and a very calm energy, I’m able to connect with your pets and capture their personalities in my own way. Going with the flow and appreciating the unpredictable nature of animals is my specialty.

Gentle guidance

I’ll provide direction and guidance throughout the session, so there’s no need to worry about what you should do or where you should stand, etc. Leave all of the busy work to me and just enjoy yourself.

GOT QUESTIONS?

I want you to feel super confident about working with me right from the start. Here are some of the questions I’m often asked by pet parents.

My goal is to capture relaxed and natural images of your four-legged friend, so my sessions are low-key and customized to your pet’s personality. I want your pet to be as they always are, doing what makes them happy. Before I start photographing, I’ll spend time getting to know your pet, so they feel comfortable around me and the camera.

I am an on-location, natural-light photographer — there’s no studio, backdrop or props. I can recommend a location that will work well with your dog’s temperament, size/breed and colouring, as well as the style you’re looking for (e.g. urban or natural setting). I typically only photograph at your home/yard if you are booking a Celebration Session and your pet is too ill or unable to travel to a different location. Cats are photographed at your home unless you have a very adventurous feline!

No problem! We can still get amazing images – almost all dogs I photograph are on leash during their session. I can remove the leash from the images during the post-processing process. View some examples to see how it works.

While it’s helpful if your dog can follow some commands, it’s certainly not required. I want to capture the true spirit of your pet, not just perfect poses, so you can relax and let their personality shine.

Absolutely! I love including people, since the bond between pet and caregiver is so strong. Keep in mind that as I am a pet photographer, I’ll deliver a few images of you and your pet together, but most of my focus will be on your pet alone.

I’ve worked with many different personalities and behaviours over the years, and even sessions with the more rambunctious dogs can result in great images. From the location to the techniques I’ll use to photograph them, each session is customized for your pet to set us up for the best results.
