Bella | Winter wonderland at Lowville Park
I love receiving inquiries from people who go into detail about their pet and why they really want to book a session. It’s the stories and details that help me choose a location to suit the pet and they really give me insight into the relationships people have with their pets. Plus, it’s just really heartwarming to hear people gush about their furry family members (and I love all the attached photos too)!
Lauren is a university student and she contacted me requesting a winter photography session to coincide with her Christmas break when she would be home with her family. The session was a gift to her parents — how sweet is that?
Bella is a mostly-golden doodle … I call her that because I think she is 90 per cent golden retriever and 10 per cent doodle (or more technically, poodle). Bella is 3 and is just buzzing with energy. Lauren says Bella has been a blessing to her parents who are now in better shape thanks to daily walks, and she is a great stress reliever to her father, who suffers from high blood pressure. As a university student facing some high anxiety, Bella has also brought much peace to Lauren’s world too. Bella loves to steal things, is always demanding pets and is slightly bananas … in a good way. Can you sense that this is the face of a lovable troublemaker?
As luck would have it, we received lots of fresh snow the evening before our session. Since we met early the next morning, it was still clinging to the tree branches and draped over the evergreens like a blanket. The park was a gorgeous winter wonderland and the sun was glowing.
Bella loves her dad … they are attached at the hip!
With all the fresh powder, lots of playing was called for. Bella had a blast running through the open fields and playing with her ball.
What a fun morning in the snow! Thank you to the whole family who met me bright and early on this crisp December day. There’s nothing like a good ole Ontario winter dog photography session to get the day started off great!
