There is no greater compliment than a returning client. Really, I’m always so tremendously elated when I see familiar faces, not only because it means they believe in me and my work, but also because I get to visit with pets that I haven’t seen in a while. It’s pretty fun!
I photographed Jenna and her stunning Bernedoodle Stella in 2012, and when she contacted me again in the fall to tell me they had a new addition to the family, I booked her in exactly one year to the day of Stella’s session in the same location. We knew the fall colours would be at their peak for a Halton dog photography session, and the weather would be pretty comfortable.
Nash is the new guy. He’s a typical good-natured, goofy, energetic golden retriever with one of those faces that pretty much melts your heart. He was almost two when we met, and had only been with his new family for a few months. He reminds me of my golden Chloe in a lot of ways — adopted a little older, pulls on a leash and suffers (or benefits?) from selective hearing. His heart is in the right place — he’s just a super friendly, curious guy who wants to explore everything and meet everyone. And he is so lovable.
It apparently didn’t take long for big sister Stella to recognize the benefits of having a younger brother. Now, when she destroys her toys, she points the blame to Nash, who like any golden would do, simply takes the fall with a smile on his face and a wag of his tail.
And I had to get one more glamour shot of Stella — she’s such a beauty and full of personality!
It was another terrific afternoon with this family, and paws up to them for opening their home to a rescue dog — I think Nash will bring loads of smiles to everyone’s faces (even Stella’s!) for many years to come!
Wags,
