Maui | Puppy photography in Oakville

I remember getting my first puppy. I was about 10 years old and we drove a few hours to visit a litter of golden retrievers. After lots of snuggling, playing and having our shoelaces chewed, we picked our new family member. We named her Chelsey. She grew up with us, and was there during the good times and bad. She knew all my secrets and gave me great comfort during the difficult teenage years. Getting your first dog is an experience you never forget!

This is why I was so thrilled to be called on for puppy photography in Oakville with french bulldog Maui a few weeks after arriving home. His family has two girls who adore him. They will cherish his friendship for so many years to come! It’s such a wonderful experience getting a puppy. They bring so much joy (even when they’re being mischief makers!) to our lives.

It can be a little overwhelming in the early days of new puppy parenthood, which is why I offer at-home sessions. I come to you, so no worries about packing up the new pup and driving. Puppies should also be fully vaccinated before venturing out and about, which is another reason why a session in the comfort of home is a great option. I’ve photographed pets who live in big houses to small condos, and they all work just fine.

Maui is a lucky pup – he has a fantastic yard to run and play in. And despite his tiny size, he was fearlessly tackling the stairs and rocks like a seasoned pro!

It was an honour to document such a highlight in this family’s life and give them memories of Maui’s first days at home.
