friday fetch | dog smell solutions

Rebranding a photography business with new logo and website. Happy Tails Pet Photography gets a new look!

I’m hoping to post a new session next week, but this week I’ve been busy planning a birthday party for my husband – it’s a milestone number, but I won’t say which one to avoid any horror or embarrassment on his part. I don’t think it’s that bad. I mean, Brad Pitt makes 50 look good, so …

On to this week’s Friday Fetch, which highlights the olfactory system and offers a few dog smell solutions. The nose knows, right?

1) Chloe needs a bath. It’s that time of the year where I don’t really notice that she’s getting dirty until the smell suddenly hits me. We love going to Mutt Life and using its DIY baths. And the customer service, especially from shop dogs Guinness and Elvis (their people aren’t too bad either), is second to none!

2) Serena over on the Itty Bitty & Fluffy blog recently reviewed a shampoo by Animology called Fox Poo (love it!), which does a good job of getting rid of those lingering smells …

3) I didn’t think this was real at first, and I am a little baffled, but I had to share Sexy Beast perfume, a signature dog fragrance, which is “a classic blend of bergamot, vanilla, mandarin and nutmeg oils.” The bottle is encrusted with genuine Swarovski crystals, engraved with your pampered pooch’s name and is available in limited quantites. For $850. What??

4) This may be cheating a little, but if you are in Canada you should watch A Dog’s Life, a documentary by CBC’s The Nature of Things. It’s a truly fascinating look at our canine companions and how they experience the world through all of their senses.

Wags,
