Dexter | Colourful and candid dog photography in Burlington
I have been waiting for this day and it finally arrived! After taking hundreds upon hundreds of adoption and rescue photographs, I finally got to officially photograph a shelter dog with his new family all grown up! I first met Dexter at the Burlington Humane Society when I photographed him as a puppy, along with the rest of his litter. Back then, he went by Hopper (they were given Easter-themed names) and his ears were tiny and floppy, and he was a just a little blonde ball of fur.
Well, Dexter is now almost three, very handsome, and best guess a lab-shepherd mix. He loves to spend time at his cottage in Muskoka, running in woods, so it was fitting that we met at a beautiful, natural park at dawn at the peak of the autumn season for some colourful and candid dog photography in Burlington. It was pretty fantastic.
Just for fun, here is an image I took of Dexter when I met him as a puppy at the shelter back in 2012 (seems like forever ago now!) – amazing how much they change!
It was so fun seeing you all grown up Dexter, and what fun we all had tramping through the leaves!
