Celebrating Madison | Oakville senior dog photography
I had the absolute honour of photographing Madison for a Celebration Session earlier in the fall. At almost 14 years old, she’s deaf and moves a little slower, and has a totally kissable white muzzle that I just adore. She’s a returning customer of sorts – I photographed her terminally-ill sister Bailey last year (Madison’s paws made it into one of the photographs). It makes my heart full that I can give this family wonderful photos to remember both their furry family members.
I met Madison and her dad in Lion’s Gate Park for her Oakville senior dog photography session. The light was gorgeous, the colours were lovely and I had the best of both worlds: vibrant natural foliage for a natural look and a fantastic concrete bridge overhead that I worked into a few shots to add a bit of an urban vibe.
I’m not sure what this gorgeous pink undergrowth is, but I love it!Although Madison is deaf, she responds well to hand gestures, and was so sweet and easy to work with. And because we didn’t have to give any verbal cues, this was a relaxed and quiet session, which was really nice! Her family ordered a 16×24 storyboard canvas that displays a collection of their favourite images – the same product they already have hanging on their wall from Bailey’s session. I can’t wait to drop off Madison’s order to see what these art pieces look like hanging together – what a lovely way to pay tribute to two beloved family members.
So happy to spend time with you again Madison – it really was an honour.
Wags,
