Larry | Puppy fun at Lowville Park
It’s pretty easy to sum up Larry: he’s a cockapoo puppy who clearly drinks jet fuel for breakfast! This guy was a firecracker – he had me working our whole session. That puppy energy is a force to be reckoned with …
Larry (can we talk about that name and how awesome it is?) showed up to our session pretty excited for some puppy fun at Lowville Park. Ok, a lot excited. His tongue was down to his knees the moment he jumped out of the car and he just wanted to go! Normally I wouldn’t suggest a game of fetch on a hot day at the beginning of a session, since that long tongue is what I usually want to avoid. But in Larry’s case, the tongue wasn’t going anywhere and we needed to get some of his energy out. It may have slightly slowed him down.
I’m not an expert in dog behaviour or claim to know all the tips and tricks, but I do know that patience is key. We took our time and ended up getting some great shots in the lush, green woods and fields, and in the vinca, which I just love. Larry’s people love his cute little underbite, so I was happy we got some really cute shots showcasing his wonderful, quirky smile.
We found some fluffy dandelions to play in – puppies are so funny!
And a classic shot to end the post … always good for a laugh!
During this romp through the park we all got wet, muddy and covered in dandelion fluff – in other words, it was great fun! To Larry’s family: thank you so much for trusting me to get some memorable puppy shots for you – it was a pleasure! And to Larry: I hope you never slow down!
Wags,
