I am owned by a white-faced, soft-hearted golden retriever, so I am deeply aware of the place they hold in our hearts. Like all our four-legged friends, they are the heart and soul of a family, and those soft eyes and white “masks”, well, they go a long way to ensuring a life full of treats, belly rubs and snoozes on the couch – it’s hard not to give in!

Senior Maggy is 11 years old and the epicentre of her family. She is the quiet leader of the home’s animal pack, which also includes a 14 year old cat and a one-year-old puppy. Calling Maggy sweet is an understatement — she is soft, and gentle and lovely. Although she is getting up in years and prefers a leisurely walk to any high-energy hijinks, she still gets quite excited by a good stick and the prospect of a delicious treat.

Maggy’s Kerncliff Park pet photography session was a surprise Christmas gift for her family, and from what I hear, a few tears were shed at its unveilling.

Thanks for a lovely crisp morning Miss Maggy – you are a real treasure!
